Me and my loves

I LoVe this!

Having some fun

Yes, I'm finally back.  Our internet was down for almost a week!!  I sure did miss it.  I wish I could say that I was really creative and got a lot of projects done but I can't.  We did go to the park and Andre was able to take some really good shots of me and the girls.  I've been wanting some pictures of me with them.  I love outdoor pictures they always turn out the best.  I think I'm getting my creative itch back.  I've started something cute and can't wait to finish it so I can show you.  Better get moving!!  I will be back soon!!  :)

Shabby PiNk children's high chair

Eritrea and Josephine

I gave it several coats of baby girl PiNk paint

I also added two shabby roses decals
My friend Jessica had picked this little wooden children's high chair up at a garage sale and wanted me to paint it for her.  I think that originally it had a tray to go with it but some how it must have gotten lost or broken.  I still think it looks just as cute as ever without it!  I'm sure she is going to be happy with how it turned out.  Now it's time to work on my projects that are waiting for me to get done.  I'm anxious to get started.  I ran into an old co worker yesterday out garage-saleing.  She now works at Wal-Mart in the portrait studio.  She is wanting me to make up some rolled fabric headbands so she can sell them for me.  I think that is what I am going to work on starting next week.  I would like to have at least 6 made up and see how they sell.  I also have a couple other projects mulling in my head for the perfect idea so I can get started.  I just got done reading a book "Heaven is for real"  by Todd Burpo.  What an excellent book!  I couldn't put it down.  It really made me think about Heaven and all the loved ones who have gone on before.  I can hardly believe that I had the time to do 3 posts this week!!  Yay!  I am trying to be faithful.  I think someday it will be fun to look back on these posts and it also can be used to follow up on some of the projects I have done incase I need to use that idea again in the future.  Better sign off since I'm yawning and probably need to go to bed.  Tomorrow is another wonderful day to create!!  Until then, have a blessed night!!

BiRtHdAy pretty

Homemade BiRtHdAy card for Jessica

Inside message
Monday was my good friend Jessica's Birthday.  We are celebrating it tonight with a couple of other friends at Minervas.  I plan on giving her a $20 dollar gift card for PiNk Freckles since she loves the stuff I make and is always wanting to buy something.  I thought it would be nice to make a pretty homemade card.  I just used some scrap book paper and lace and a little glitter to add some sparkle.  I know she is going to love it.  Yesterday I went out to my storage unit to get some more craft supplies and found a few other little goodies to remake.  I'm excited to get started.  I've got some ideas for Christmas gifts.  This year I'm giving homemade gifts.  I want to get started early so I'm not rushing.  I will be sure to post pictures!  Have a happy Wednesday!!  :)

PiNk Shabby Poodle make over

Looking lovely in her new make over

If you look close you can see a feather in her  custom head band
I just had to share with you this sweet little poodle and her make over.  I was in such a hurry to get started I forgot to take a before picture.  :(  I think she turned out just lovely.  I know her new owner will be proud to display her in her home.  We got this poodle at a flea market this past Sunday.  Two of my friends and I made a trip to Montpelier ND to the luscious little cottage for a tea party hosted by my very talented mother and sister.  My friend Melissa was loving the poodles and I wanted her to have some thing to remember her visit.  I just LoVe it!!  I know she will too.  I know, I know, I know...... I didn't take any pictures at the tea party!!   Shame on me!!  I know Melissa got some so I will have to get some from her.  I had to take my little Josie bug with me and it's not as easy to always do the things you want to do with a baby in your arms.  Every thing was exceptionally beautiful and the food was delish!!  Hope you all had as lovely of a weekend as I did!!

Hot, Hot, Hot

Baby Eri and I.  Oh how she has grown!

Andre and I.  One of my favs

PiNk Toes!
I'm finally taking the time to write a bit.  I was wondering if I was going to have enough time to keep up with a blog.  Seems like my days go by so fast.  I haven't had much motivation this week to get any projects done.  I've barely been able to keep up with the house work.  I blame it on the extreme heat.  Yesterday we hit a record of 100 degrees.  Aberdeen hasn't hit 100 degrees in 4 years.  With the heat index we were at 119 degrees!!  There is a cold front that is supposed to be coming tonight.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed.  I'm tired of running the air conditioner.  It's loud and I think it's giving me a cough.  Needless to say the girls and I have been staying home and trying to keep cool.  I think we are all getting on each others nerves.  We've watched enough Veggie Tales and Strawberry Shortcake movies and listened to enough toddler action song CD's.  Oh, by the way, baby Felicity's mommy loved her picture I made.  Of course my baby Josie was looking super cute in her new head band.  I heard a lot of "Oh my goodness she looks just like Eri."  I don't really think they look exactly alike.  I posted a picture of Eri and I at about the age Josie is right now.  I also posted it on facebook and asked everyone to guess if the baby was Eri or Josie.  Most everyone got it right.  I must be feeling a little nostalgic because I dug through our old pictures and found one of Andre and I too.  Well, I hope I am able to get up off the couch tomorrow and at least finish a project!  I hate this no motivation thing!!

Baby Felicity

I stitched the picture and painted the frame I got at a second hand store

A pretty little gift tag for Felicity
As promised here is the gift I've been working on for baby Felicity.  Isn't it YuMmY??  I just love it!  I know her mommy is going to love it too.  While I was finishing up with the framing of the picture, I decided that a pretty little gift tag would be nice.  I used a hang tag and cut up pretty little birdie scrapbook paper, cute letters to spell her name and a little glitter and lace to doll it up.  I just know her mommy is going to love it too.  I have one more little project I want to make for Felicity.  A rolled fabric headband.  They look super cute in my girl's hair and I know with all the gorgeous dark hair Felicity has, one will look cute in her hair too.  I will give you a peek at that when I'm done. Happy Monday!

Babies and crafting :)

Baby Josie already 2 months

Another felt cell phone cover
Today is my baby Josie's 2 month Birthday! She is growing up way too fast!   We spent a quiet 4th at home in the cool air conditioning.  I told Andre that when the girls get older we will do more, like maybe go to the lake or even the ocean!  I made a comment on how it would be nice to even have a cabin by the lake someday and he looked at me like I was crazy.  :)  Seriously, a girl can dream can't she??  As far as my crafting goes it seems I've got several projects to finish up.  I hate having projects that are not done.  I had so much fun making that felt cell phone cover last week I just had to make another one!  I think they will make sweet gifts for  my friends.  This morning I found out that my cousin had a baby girl.  Another craft project in the making.  I was so excited about making it that I already started it this morning.  Of course my sweet little fairies kept me from working on it for very long.  Guess I will just have to stay up late cause I'm dying to get more done.  Hope to post a picture soon!   Happy Tuesday!

feel good felt kit :)

Felt cell phone cover
Today was just one of those days.  It's super hot here and everyone is crabby.  So I decided that I needed to do what makes me de-stress.  Creating something.  Crafts are a way for me to forget whatever is wrong or whatever isn't working.  So here is my sweet felt cell phone cover!  Thanks to Mollie Makes feel good kit I was able to de-stress!!   :0)  Thanks Mollie Makes!!  Your feel good kit made me feel good!!  I actually started it yesterday and finished today.  With two little girls fighting for my attention I have to learn to be patient.  I forgot how to do the blanket stitch, so this morning bright and early after my almost 2 month old went back to sleep, I googled how to make the blanket stitch.  I found a very good youtube video and before you know it my sweet little cell phone case was done!  Whew.  Now I feel better but I'm thinking I need another craft project.  Things are stressful right now!  ;)

Unpacking. Grrrr!!

My baby Josie
My oldest daughter Eri
So we moved into a two bedroom apartment about 2 months ago and I still have unpacking to do.  It seems like I never have time to get it done.  I've got about 4 boxes of kitchen stuff and I still haven't organized my cupboards yet!!  Which is driving me crazy!!  I keep saying that I will do this or that while the girls are napping and then when that time rolls around I just feel like crashing and spending time alone doing what I want to do.  Some days I wonder if it will ever get done.  I have so many ideas and just NEVER enough time!!  Someday..... at least that is what I keep saying to myself.  Guess I've spent enough alone time and need to get busy with laundry.  Happy Monday!!

Garage Sale-ing

My husband Andre and Eri

Eri eating olives.  She LOVES them :)

Sisters

My craft project I made last week.  Don't you just love it?
Last night while at work, Andre, my husband text messaged me saying I could go to some garage sales in the morning. What a sweetie huh? ;) One of my most favorite things to do!  You bet I was going to take him up on his offer and leave as soon as I could escape the chaos!  As a stay at home mommy I know how important it is to get out of the house and leave my little munchkins with their daddy, even if it means coming home to tornado.  ;)  As promised here are a few pictures of the Cobbs family and a craft project I did the other day.  I still have some major learning as you can see.  I was trying to get my text up at the top of my post.  I was browsing through some other blogspots this afternoon while the girls were napping and I'm in serious envy of their beautiful blogs.  I"m a little bit of a perfectionist so having mine not the way I want it is frustrating but as a mommy of two under two you have to learn how to go with the flow a little more often.  :)

My first blog. :)

I'm super excited to finally have a blog spot.  I'm really new at this and have a lot to learn. So please bear with me in this new experience, I promise to show you some really cool things. :)  My goal for this blog is to share my love for handmade crafting (I was a 4-Her growing up!) and my love for the Cobbs family.  Who doesn't love to show off pictures of their children?  I have to admit sometimes I get a little obsessed with photos.  I have two beautiful little girls, my oldest is Eritrea (Eri) at 19 months and my baby is Josephine (Josie) at almost 2 months now.  Babies grow super fast so I try to capture as many precious moments with my girls as possible.  I can't wait to show you some of my creations I made for my girls.  So until I get this all figured out, thanks so much for stopping by and please check in again SOON for some pictures!!
